At the request of an affected candidate, the complaints committee decides on objections regarding the validity of the candidate's nomination for the municipal council, district council, mayor or district administrator election, provided the election committee has not remedied these objections or a resolution that has determined the validity of a candidate's nomination is amended ex officio (Art. 32 Para. 4 Sentence 1 GLKrWG9):
The election proposer must submit the application to the election officer in writing or for recording by Thursday, 29 January 2026, 6:00 p.m. at the latest (Art. 32 Para. 4 Sentence 2 GLKrWG). Applications for a decision by the complaints committee must be forwarded by the electoral officer to the presiding member of the complaints committee by messenger without delay, together with the documents required for the review by the complaints committee and their own statement (Art. 48 Para. 2 GLKrWo).
If a meeting becomes necessary, the Complaints Committee will be convened on
Monday, 02 February 2026, 3:30 pm
at the Government of Lower Franconia, Peterplatz 9, 97070 Würzburg, meeting room A.
The meeting is open to the public.
