Restrictions on entertainment on Easter days


According to the law on the protection of Sundays and public holidays, the "Holy Days" are deemed to be public holidays within the meaning of Art. 3 of the Public Holidays Act (FTG).

We would like to point out that, according to the law on the protection of Sundays and public holidays, the following Holy Days

Maundy Thursday, 02.04.2026

Good Friday, 03.04.2026

Holy Saturday, 04.04.2026

are considered public holidays within the meaning of Section 3 of the Public Holidays Act (FTG).

On days of silence, public entertainment events are permitted only if the solemn nature
of the day is respected. Sporting events are, however, permitted, except on Good Friday. On Good Friday, musical performances of any kind are also prohibited in premises serving alcohol.

For events in pubs and restaurants or public entertainment venues within the meaning of Section 18 of the Catering Act, the above provision (quiet days) applies from 00:00 to 24:00, on Maundy Thursday from 2:00 to 24:00.
