The city has been working on finalising a new land use plan since 2023. In future, this will regulate such important issues as the designation of new building land, new commercial areas and priority zones for nature and species conservation. At the end of February, the city council passed the necessary drafting resolution by a large majority. The plan is now being presented to the public.
The plans can be viewed on the Kitzingen town council website. They will be presented at an event in the town hall on Tuesday 14 April, starting at 7 pm. All interested parties are warmly invited. The early consultation period runs until 4 May 2026 inclusive.
