The Hospitable Five in the Franconian Wine Country

Always hospitable, always right, where is that still the case today? Oh, we know one place. Not just one, but five. The Hospitable Five in the Franconian Wine Country have a special promise for you. In the communities of Gerolzhofen, Volkach, Dettelbach, Kitzingen and Iphofen, you will be welcomed as a guest and a king. Each of the towns offers something special, each in its own way. And yet we are sure that you will be equally impressed everywhere.

The Franconian Wine Country

The Franconian wine country is nestled between the Spessart, Rhön, Steigerwald and Tauber valleys. Here, romantic wine-growing villages and the royal seat of Würzburg attract visitors from all over the world. Franconian wine has particularly characterised the people and the region. Typical of Franconian wine is the bulbous, round bottle shape, the famous Bocksbeutel, which has been the trademark of Franconian wine for centuries and is now even protected by the EU. During a visit to a winegrower, a walk through the vineyards, an exquisite wine tasting or one of the many wine festivals, you will get to know Franconian wine and its land of origin.
