The town of Kitzingen is inviting people to take part in its first corporate run along the banks of the Main. The event kicks off on Wednesday, 30 September, at 5.30 pm, at the Stadtbalkon. After a six-kilometre run along the banks of the Main, participants will cross the finish line there. “A flat route through our beautiful countryside,” enthuses Mayor Dr Enis Tiz, who was one of the first to register. Employees from companies, public authorities and clubs are invited to take part. They can compete as a team or individually. At least three runners are required for the team classification. Running, jogging or walking: anything goes.
The infrastructure is all sorted: a changing tent, including a bag drop, has been set up in the finish/start area. Toilets are available on site. The after-party on the banks of the Main, with views of the Kitzingen skyline, promises to be the perfect way to round off the event.
The schedule: 4.00 pm: Distribution of race packs begins; 5.15 pm: Warm-up at the starting line; 5.30 pm: Starting gun; 6.30 pm: Prize-giving ceremony; 6.45 pm: Sunset and a wind-down on the banks of the Main. For more information and to register, visit www.firmenlauf-kitzingen.de
