Prerequisites
Your child must be medically examined before admission and a vaccination consultation must take place. Proof of sufficient immunisation against measles or a medical certificate of immunity or medical contraindication is mandatory.Deadlines

The parental contributions or fees for childcare vary. They are set by the provider of the centre and can depend on
- of the parents' income,
- the number of children in a family and
- from the childcare period.
Under current legislation, children from their first year of nursery school up to the start of primary school are entitled to a subsidy towards parental contributions of 100 euros per month until December 2026 inclusive. The providers must reduce their fees by the amount of the subsidy.
Under the means-tested Bavarian nursery allowance scheme, parents of children born before 1 January 2025 can receive up to 100 euros per child per month towards their nursery fees from their child’s first birthday onwards, provided they actually pay these fees.

Clarify the exact enrolment procedure and the enrolment deadlines on site. Enquire whether you can register your child for several facilities.
You will receive a medical examination form from the institution you choose or its sponsor.
Ask the doctor conducting the examination to fill it in.
The medical certificate should confirm that there are no concerns regarding your visit to the facility.Before you are admitted to a childcare centre, the provider concludes a childcare contract with you. It contains legal agreements, for example on the

- Cancellation periods.
