    There are around 90,000 km of smaller watercourses in Bavaria. Local authorities and water and soil management associations are obliged to maintain these watercourses. In some cases, this maintenance obligation is also transferred to users (e.g. hydropower plant operators).

    If you have any questions regarding the maintenance and structural condition of small watercourses and their banks, please contact your local council in the first instance.
