The municipalities, counties and districts can decide within the scope of their asset management whether they want to buy or sell a property. It should be noted, among other things, that from a municipal law perspective, properties may not be sold below value and in individual cases it may be necessary for the local authorities to put the property sale out to tender.
Citizens interested in buying a plot of land can contact the respective local authority directly and clarify whether they are willing to sell.
