Description of the
Claims are settled as follows:
- Damage caused by guest forces alone or jointly with the Bundeswehr (joint manoeuvres) will be handled by the responsible federal claims settlement office at the Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben:
- for Bavaria excluding the administrative district of Lower Franconia: Regional Office South
- for the administrative district of Lower Franconia: Regional Office East
- Damage caused solely by the Bundeswehr must be reported to the local municipal administration. This will forward the applications to the relevant Bundeswehr Service Centre, which will then initiate further steps for the payment of compensation.
- Damage caused by guest forces alone or jointly with the Bundeswehr (joint manoeuvres) will be handled by the responsible federal claims settlement office at the Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben:
Deadlines
Claims for compensation should be asserted immediately. In the case of manoeuvre damage caused by guest forces alone or jointly with the Bundeswehr, claims must be submitted in writing to the competent regulatory body within three months of the date on which the injured party became aware of the damage and the involvement of the (foreign) armed forces.
