The terms "occupational safety" and "occupational health and safety" cover all measures for the safety and health of employees at work (e.g. to prevent accidents at work, occupational illnesses and work-related health hazards).
The purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety Act is to ensure and improve the safety and health of employees at work through occupational health and safety measures.
