End of the tourist season – Kitzingen Wine Autumn

The Kitzingen Wine Festival marks the festive conclusion of the 2026 tourist season.
With the Kitzingen Wine Festival, the town of Kitzingen brings the 2026 tourist season to a close. On Saturday 31 October, locals and visitors alike can look forward to a varied programme of events centred around the Town Hall, the Falterturm and the market square.
The highlight of the event will be the joint parade, which will wind its way from the Falterturm to the market square. Numerous tourism stakeholders, royalty, clubs, tour guides and other participating groups will take part in the closing of the tourism season, thereby sending a clear signal of Kitzingen’s tourism diversity and commitment.
The meeting point for participants in the parade is at 12.30 pm at the Falterturm. From there, the procession will head towards the market square, where the official closing programme will then begin.
At the market square, visitors can look forward to musical entertainment, welcoming addresses and speeches, including one by the Franconian Wine Queen. The performance by the Franconian folk dance group will add a special Franconian touch. In this way, the Kitzingen Wine Autumn combines wine, music, tradition and the Franconian way of life, providing the perfect setting to bring the tourist season to a close together.
Preparations for the event will be underway from 9.30 am. Around the town hall, the Tourist Information stand, a painting table and a children’s play area will be set up, amongst other things. A wine stand at the Reiseland and other stalls and attractions will also be prepared for visitors.
The Tourist Information Centre will be closed on this day. Instead, information services will be provided via the information stand at the town hall. This means that guests and locals alike can find out about Kitzingen and its tourist attractions even whilst the event is taking place.
The Kitzingen Wine Autumn thus not only marks the official end of the 2026 tourist season, but also invites everyone to look back together on an eventful season and to experience Kitzingen once again from its hospitable and tradition-steeped side.
