Bolivia – long underestimated, yet full of surprises: Jörg and Nicole Miecke from Hammelburg embarked on a long hiking trip through one of South America’s most unspoilt countries, capturing images of breathtaking 5,000-metre peaks and the active volcano Uturunku. As well as crossing the world’s largest salt lake, visiting La Paz and Lake Titicaca, encounters with the local people offered deep insights into the everyday lives and often challenging living conditions of the campesinos.
