This children’s right means that children and young people are free to express their opinions – at school, within their families and in their local communities – and have the right to be listened to and taken seriously.
We, the town of Kitzingen, are creating spaces, structures and formats to facilitate this.
Children and young people are actively involved in the town – for example, through participation workshops and initiatives in various areas. Their views are taken into account in the planning of leisure activities, as well as playgrounds and routes to school. In this way, children experience that their voice counts and that they can help shape their town.
