Resident parking

Resident parking zones are in place to protect residents in heavily congested urban areas or neighbourhoods from a shortage of parking spaces. In densely built-up areas, many road users often compete for a limited number of parking spaces – particularly where commuters or visitors park. The introduction of resident parking zones means that a portion of public parking spaces is reserved primarily for local residents with a resident parking permit. In Kitzingen, there are four resident parking zones in the old town.
