Waste collection within the urban area is the responsibility of the Kitzingen District Office. We currently use brown, blue and grey bins, as well as the yellow bag provided by the Dual Systems. Bins can be registered online via the website www.abfallwelt.de.

The district’s recycling centre is located in the conneKT industrial estate on Panzerstraße. A wide range of recyclables and waste can be dropped off there.
Only green waste and garden waste are not accepted at the recycling centre. These must be taken to the Klosterforst composting plant.
Only waste from properties in the district of Kitzingen is accepted.
Bulky waste
Residents and shop owners are responsible for ensuring that their waste can be removed via the waste collection system. The city itself only comes into play if waste containers cannot be removed and could pose a risk to public safety and order in the public street space.
Bulky waste collection can be requested twice a year free of charge. The refuse collectors come directly to the property and collect the bulky waste, refrigerators and large electrical and electronic appliances. After registering for collection, it usually takes a maximum of three weeks for the bulky waste to be collected. Notification of the collection date will be sent out.
