After around five weeks, the 20th World Press Photo exhibition drew to a close on Monday evening. The figures are impressive: around 25,500 visitors flocked to the Town Hall. “The turnout was once again enormous, particularly in the last few days,” says the city’s organiser, Herbert Müller, delightedly. To mark the 20th anniversary of the partnership with the World Press Photo Association, Herbert Müller and his three-person team put together a varied programme of events. “The talks at the Roxy Cinema attracted a great deal of interest, and the 20 guided tours of the exhibition were very well attended,” he says happily. The reward for years of hard work: the World Press Photo exhibition will be returning to Kitzingen for the next three years.
