The bookcase is a book exchange for novels, specialist and non-fiction books, travel guides, illustrated books, and children’s and young adult books in good condition, and is open to all residents and visitors. It serves as a place for people to meet and exchange ideas. Reading brings people together, fosters inclusion and encourages interaction. Following the resounding success of the first bookcase, further bookcases were set up as part of Language Week. The bookcases in Sickershausen and at the Garden Show site were designed and installed by the Kitzingen municipal works department.
