This is the fourth edition of the Historical Calendar, which is jointly produced by Christina Richard, Head of the Tourist Information Centre, and Doris Badel, Head of the Municipal Archives. Following the great interest generated by the 2026 calendar, which featured historical photographs from the period when the Americans were in Kitzingen, this year’s edition focuses on the town’s districts.
Historical photographs offer a glimpse into times gone by. They bring back memories, and some of the images are likely to strike a chord with viewers.
The response to the calendar series so far has been encouraging: around 150 copies of the 2026 calendar have been sold. The new edition also offers a wonderful opportunity to rediscover Kitzingen’s history month by month.
The 2027 Historical Calendar is available from the Kitzingen Tourist Information Centre and at Schöningh bookshop. As in the previous year, the retail price is 22.90 euros.
